About the role#
Pliteq offers engineering internships that provide hands-on experience across multiple departments. You will work alongside engineers and managers to apply your academic knowledge to real projects. This is a full-time, paid position with rolling start dates. Your specific area of work is determined based on your interests and current project needs.
What you'll do#
Depending on your placement, you will contribute to one or more of the following areas:
- Business Development: Identify and track projects, schedule meetings with architects, create product specifications, and manage campaigns for specific product classes.
- Process Engineering: Suggest improvements to manufacturing processes, troubleshoot new equipment during start-up, support production problem-solving, and monitor scrap levels.
- R&D and Quality: Review products for quality standards, test sample products, and assist in developing quality systems training.
- AutoCAD Take-Offs: Draft engineering drawings for construction projects and provide product recommendations based on acoustical needs.
- General Operations: Handle data entry in ERP programs, organize engineering drawing databases, compile product samples, and assist with technical documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary institution, preferably in a Bachelor of Engineering program (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial, or Aerospace).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with CAD software is considered an asset.
