About the role#
As a Packaging Technology Development Graduate Intern, you will join the team at Intel Foundry. You will work on the development and implementation of manufacturing processes for specialized modules. This role involves hands-on work in a cleanroom environment to support production goals.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for semiconductor production modules.
- Support equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and qualification activities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to sustain and improve equipment and processes.
- Apply Design of Experiments (DOE) principles and process characterization to improve quality and efficiency.
- Conduct structured data analysis and experiments to identify process improvements.
- Participate in hands-on engineering projects within a cleanroom.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Polymer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 months of experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment and process development.
- At least 3 months of experience using data analysis tools like MATLAB, Python, or JMP.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Hands-on experience with process optimization, troubleshooting engineering tools, and cleanroom environments.
- Familiarity with DOE principles, structured problem-solving, and statistical data analysis.
- Experience in yield analysis, failure analysis, and process improvement strategies.
