    About the role#

    Intel is hiring graduate interns to work on software that powers computing and semiconductor technology. You will join teams working on projects that range from AI frameworks and cloud development to firmware, GPU, and system software. This internship provides exposure to the full technology lifecycle, from research and design to manufacturing and deployment. You will work alongside experienced engineers to solve real-world technical challenges.

    What you'll do#

    • Design, develop, test, debug, and improve software that enables Intel products and platforms.
    • Support code reviews, high-level design tasks, scripting, automation, and validation activities.
    • Contribute to open and secure software platforms and tools.
    • Apply programming, data, and systems thinking to solve engineering problems.
    • Collaborate with hardware, systems, product, and software teams.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Master’s degree or PhD program in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
    • At least 3 months of experience gained through coursework, academic projects, research, internships, co-ops, student organizations, or assistantships.
    • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work in a team-based environment.

    • Locations: Hillsboro, Oregon; Folsom, California; Santa Clara, California; Austin, Texas; Phoenix, Arizona.
    • Terms: Spring 2027 and Summer 2027 start dates.
    • Work Modality: This is a full-time, on-site position.
    • Compensation: This is a paid internship.
    • Sponsorship: This position is not eligible for employment-based visa or immigration sponsorship.
