About the role#
INTEGRIS Health is seeking a Radiology Student Tech to join the Ultrasound team at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. This PRN position involves performing radiographic procedures under the indirect supervision of the Chief Technologist, Shift Supervisor, and Radiologists. You will work with patients of various ages and contribute to the department's safety and operational goals.
What you'll do#
- Perform radiographic procedures requiring indirect supervision of technical detail.
- Operate and monitor radiographic equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
- Use safety equipment including cones, collimators, lead aprons, gloves, and gonad shields to ensure radiation safety.
- Perform computer and clerical tasks related to radiology requests.
- Maintain the orderliness of radiographic exam rooms and manage supply stocks.
- Utilize nursing procedure techniques to provide patient care and safety.
- Maintain regular attendance and provide customer service to internal and external contacts.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two semesters in an accredited Radiology program, verified by the program director.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Possession of BLS or CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to meet physical demands and potential respiratory fit test requirements associated with the role.
