Radiology Student Tech - Ultrasound - PRN

About the role#

INTEGRIS Health is seeking a Radiology Student Tech to join the Ultrasound team at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center. This PRN position involves performing radiographic procedures under the indirect supervision of the Chief Technologist, Shift Supervisor, and Radiologists. You will contribute to patient care while gaining practical experience in a hospital setting.

What you'll do#

• Perform radiographic procedures requiring indirect supervision of technical detail.
• Operate and monitor radiographic equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
• Ensure patient safety by utilizing devices such as cones, collimators, lead aprons, gloves, and gonad shields.
• Perform computer and clerical functions related to radiology requests.
• Maintain orderliness and stock supplies in radiographic exam rooms.
• Apply appropriate nursing procedure techniques to ensure patient care and safety.
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and age-related competencies.

What you'll need#

• Completion of at least two semesters in an accredited Radiology program, verified by the program director.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and complete assigned duties in an efficient and timely manner.
