About the role#
The Procurement Co-op supports the Direct Materials Procurement organization at Insulet. You will work alongside Category Managers and Procurement Specialists to assist with supply planning, strategic sourcing, and supplier management. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Finance, and Manufacturing to support global supply chain operations. You will gain hands-on experience in cost management and procurement analytics while contributing to projects that impact manufacturing operations.
What you'll do#
- Support purchasing activities and purchase order management.
- Conduct spend data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Develop spend analytics, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Assist with cost reduction projects and Costed Bill of Materials (CBOM) analysis.
- Create presentations and business updates for leadership and supplier meetings.
- Support sourcing, RFx processes, and supplier qualification activities.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, Finance, or Data Analytics.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivots, lookups, and charting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
- Previous internship or project experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or manufacturing environments is helpful.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI is preferred.
