About the role#
Insperity is seeking a Rotational AI Intern to join our team in Kingwood, Texas. This full-time, paid internship offers the opportunity to work across diverse teams to design, develop, test, and maintain AI solutions. You will work on projects that apply AI concepts to real-world business challenges, focusing on problem framing and system design.
What you'll do#
- Complete AI-focused work assignments and collaborate cross-functionally to support business initiatives.
- Support AI solution design, including problem framing, system design, and defining interfaces.
- Develop and refine AI models and workflows using machine learning and programming techniques like Python or R.
- Participate in model evaluation, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Provide troubleshooting support for algorithms, data pipelines, and API integrations.
- Collaborate with IT and AI teams to ensure adherence to architectural standards and ethical AI practices.
- Document technical processes, including semantic layers and knowledge graphs.
- Communicate project progress, insights, and risks to team leaders.
- Engage in self-development by sharing knowledge and attending training events.
- Assist in the implementation and post-implementation support of AI-driven business solutions.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Currently pursuing or have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in AI, Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A GPA of 3.25 or higher is preferred.
- Foundational understanding of machine learning, data structures, neural networks, and deep learning.
- Knowledge of natural language processing, computer vision, cloud integration, and API usage.
- Familiarity with ethical AI use, bias mitigation, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency with Python, R, or SQL and experience with scripting for automation.
- Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
