About the role#
As a Rotational Technology Intern, you will work with various Innovative Technology Solutions teams. You will gain experience across the software development life cycle by designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions in an agile environment. This role is a full-time, paid internship based in Kingwood, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Translate business requirements and functional specifications into hardware and software solutions.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of systems, including integration and user acceptance testing.
- Work with mentors to understand scope definition, work effort estimation, and technical documentation.
- Participate in software development training and adhere to established design standards.
- Complete application code assignments to build your technical skills.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing or have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, or a related field.
- A GPA of 3.25 or higher is preferred.
- Programming experience in languages such as Java, C#, SQL, Perl, or XML.
- Exposure to object-oriented programming, data structures, databases, networking, and software engineering techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
- A proactive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to work well in a collaborative team.
- The ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism.
