    About the role#

    This R&D Engineering Intern role supports the development and improvement of reprocessed single-use medical products. You will work on projects involving design, testing, and sterilization methods to ensure devices meet safety and performance standards. This position involves both hands-on experimentation and data analysis to help validate new concepts.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with the design, prototyping, and bench testing of new product components.
    • Conduct research on patents and literature to inform design choices.
    • Build and run test protocols to evaluate prototypes.
    • Collect and analyze test data, then summarize findings for the engineering team.
    • Participate in design reviews and solve problems during the development process.
    • Document design iterations and test results for design history files.
    • Review design requirements and test standards to suggest improvements.
    • Help select materials, components, and tooling for builds.
    • Participate in the justification of lab equipment.
    • Support the planning of design changes and corrective actions.
    • Research new technology and design approaches.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a degree in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Ability to plan, execute, and report on your work priorities.
    • Flexibility to react to changing priorities.
    • A solid understanding of engineering principles and practices.

    Location & details#

    • This is an on-site role based in Scottsdale, Arizona.
    • The position is part-time with a rolling term.
    • This is a paid internship.
