About the role#
We are looking for an Industrial Technical Intern to join our R&D team for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site at our Bedford Park Idea Lab. This role focuses on providing technical support to customers and developing new product solutions for industrial markets. You will collaborate with internal teams to design experiments, analyze data, and create technical documentation that supports our industrial innovation portfolio.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research on prior art, including literature and patents, and track competitive activity.
- Perform laboratory experiments and analyze data to provide project recommendations.
- Record all data in the Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) and other internal databases.
- Present your research findings and project recommendations to management at the end of the internship.
- Develop technical solutions to support existing and new customer needs.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Paper Science, or a related field.
- Completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework with status as a sophomore, junior, or non-graduating senior.
- Demonstrated experience working in a wet chemistry laboratory.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the summer term.
- Strong verbal and written technical communication skills.
- Reliable transportation for your daily commute.
