About the role#
Inframark is seeking an Operations Intern to work with municipal water and wastewater systems. This is a temporary, full-time position based in Brookshire, Texas. You will gain hands-on experience in facility maintenance and equipment operation while supporting essential water services for the community. At the end of your assignment, you will complete a 500-word essay regarding your experience.
What you'll do#
- Learn to operate equipment including valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection tools, and vehicles.
- Complete checklists for meters and tank levels.
- Perform lab work such as calibrating meters and taking samples.
- Conduct routine testing, monitoring, and maintenance of production wells and water or wastewater unit processes.
- Maintain clean, neat, and secure facility grounds.
- Assist with customer service duties when required.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to follow manual and operating instructions.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and the internet.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
