About the role#
Indra Group USA is hiring a Software Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Overland Park, Kansas. You will work on embedded software and firmware for systems like Ground-Based Radio Navigational Aids and surveillance radios.
What you'll do#
- Develop embedded software and firmware for navigation and surveillance systems.
- Manage the full development cycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, and integration.
- Perform validation, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks.
- Build automated testing tools for product manufacturing, including control of test equipment and environmental chambers.
- Join design reviews to ensure projects meet customer requirements and internal standards.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and MATLAB.
- Experience working within Windows and Linux environments.
- Ability to integrate software, firmware, and hardware components.
