About the role#
ICM Inc is hiring an intern for a Craftsman/Welder role. This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship based in Colwich, Kansas. You will gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment by working alongside experienced team members to build practical skills in fabrication and welding.
What you'll do#
- Assist with manufacturing and fabrication projects by following project scopes and directions.
- Support form-fitting, tack-welding, and production tasks.
- Help machine operators run fabrication equipment like brakes and rolls.
- Follow welding procedures and complete necessary training or certifications.
- Use shop power tools and assist with material movement once trained and authorized.
- Report any mistakes, broken equipment, safety hazards, or process changes to your supervisor.
- Practice quality workmanship and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Follow all safety rules, quality policies, and workplace expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and arrive on time.
What you'll need#
