About the role#
This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to work within our Project Management department. You will join a cross-disciplinary team of engineers, project managers, scientists, and business professionals. We are looking for an individual who can work independently and alongside other team members to support our ongoing projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with preliminary estimates and construction schedules.
- Coordinate with design engineers to complete design deliverables.
- Review preliminary plans and specifications.
- Manage subcontractor approvals, scopes of work, and bid packages.
- Draft subcontract agreements for supervisor review.
- Perform material and equipment take-offs.
- Order, track, and expedite equipment.
- Respond to daily requests for information.
- Help field staff track external man-hours.
- Travel to job sites periodically to handle field engineering tasks.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma.
- Current enrollment in a public or accredited private academic institution, focusing on construction management, engineering, or a related degree.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project, Procore, and Navisworks is preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and pay attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer service focus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
