About the role#
As an Intern Finance Specialist, you will work within our consulting teams to support clients with their financial operations. You will gain hands-on experience applying your knowledge of finance and accounting while learning how organizations use technology and data to modernize their processes. This role focuses on the intersection of finance, SAP technology, and consulting. You will work alongside experienced professionals to solve real-world business challenges.
What you'll do#
- Support finance, accounting, and technology teams in identifying financial process requirements and opportunities for improvement.
- Gain exposure to SAP-enabled finance processes, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
- Assist team members with analyzing business requirements and translating them into SAP solutions.
- Apply your academic knowledge to understand how business transactions contribute to financial reporting, controls, and decision-making.
- Help with SAP testing, data validation, documentation, and issue resolution.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and support recommendations.
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives aimed at improving business performance.
- Collaborate with consultants and client teams to develop your communication and analytical skills.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- MBA students with relevant coursework or experience in finance and accounting are encouraged to apply.
- A strong interest in finance and accounting concepts, such as financial reporting, budgeting, and cost management.
- A basic understanding of how financial processes impact business decision-making.
- Ability to analyze information, identify trends, and use structured problem-solving.
- Prior exposure to finance, accounting, data analysis, or process improvement through coursework, projects, or internships.
- Interest in learning SAP, enterprise finance technologies, automation, and Artificial Intelligence.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and communicate financial information.
- Note that prior SAP experience is not required for this position.
