About the role#
As a Credit Analyst Intern, you will gain an understanding of credit philosophies and lending activities for agricultural producers and agribusinesses. You will work alongside experienced professionals to learn the primary responsibilities of a credit underwriter. This is a paid, full-time position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Conduct financial trend analysis and assist with the loan approval process.
- Learn resources and techniques for underwriting new and existing customers.
- Gain experience with a variety of business types, borrower structures, and loan requests.
- Lead two to three high-impact projects.
- Network with analysts, credit officers, loan staff, and industry partners.
- Visit farming operations and participate in social events with other interns.
- Participate in professional development sessions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between May 2028 and December 2029.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Coursework in Financial Management, Financial Accounting, Portfolio Management and Analysis, Business Logistics, Auditing, Finance, and financial compliance or regulations.
- Ability to work independently and show strong self-motivation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented mindset, and independent judgment.
- Flexibility in a changing work environment.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based in Mechanicsburg, Lewisburg, or Reedsville, Pennsylvania.
- The internship runs for 10 to 12 weeks from mid-May through early August 2027.
- Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
