About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will spend 10 to 12 weeks gaining hands-on experience within our Business Services department. You will work from one of our field offices, reporting to a manager who acts as your mentor. The program runs from mid-May through early August, with standard hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
What you'll do#
- Explore various career paths by working alongside Accounting Officers and Crop Insurance team members.
- Learn the details of services like tax preparation, recordkeeping, and payroll.
- Gain insight into our sales and customer service processes.
- Complete specific projects, participate in team meetings, and deliver presentations.
- Network with industry partners, teammates, and fellow interns.
- Engage in community service and social events with other interns.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Ag Business, or a related field.
- Your expected graduation date is between May 2028 and December 2029.
- You maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- You are a self-starter who can work independently and solve problems.
- You have strong organizational skills, pay attention to detail, and use independent judgment.
- You are flexible and can adapt to a changing work environment.
- Knowledge of agriculture and farm operations is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role.
- You must have reliable transportation to travel between various offices and events within our territory.
- Preferred locations include York, Lewisburg, Mount Joy, and Reedsville, Pennsylvania.
- This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
