About the role#
As a Student Retail Sales Associate, you will help customers find the right products and ensure a positive shopping experience. You will report to the Retail Store Manager and handle various tasks to keep the store running smoothly. This is a part-time, on-site role based in St. Jacobs, Ontario.
What you'll do#
- Talk with customers to answer questions, fulfill requests, and solve concerns.
- Suggest merchandise and related items to help customers with their projects.
- Operate the POS system and banking terminals to process cash, credit, and debit payments.
- Unload truck shipments and help customers load orders into their vehicles.
- Keep the store organized by replenishing merchandise, ticketing items, and maintaining shelves.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 16 years old and currently enrolled in high school, college, or university.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Strong communication skills and a helpful attitude.
- Comfort with physical tasks like bending, pulling, and pushing.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Location & details#
- Location: St. Jacobs, Ontario.
- Schedule: This role requires availability for weekdays from 2:00pm to 6:00pm, Saturdays from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Sundays from 12:00pm to 5:00pm.
- Status: Part-time, on-site position.
