About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for the Summer 2027 term, running from May through August. You will work alongside project teams including Applications, Controls, Mechanical, and Build groups to support the design, construction, programming, and deployment of custom automated equipment.
What you'll do#
- Create detail drawing packages for Mechanical Engineers.
- Solve practical problems that lack standard solutions.
- Update CAD models based on redline drawings after machines are built.
- Complete machine layouts, from the initial concept to the detailing of individual components.
- Check drawing packages prepared by peers.
- Develop conceptual designs for sales, quoting, and customer presentations.
- Work with vendors to size and quote purchased items.
- Complete stock sizes for mechanical bills of material.
- Generate dxf files for machining and burnouts.
- Present information effectively to customers and internal team members.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college program pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience reviewing and understanding technical drawings.
- Computer literacy in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with Pro Engineer is preferred.
- Ability to pass a drug screen, physical examination, and background check.
