About the role#
We are hiring a DevOps Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position is based in San Antonio, Texas, and follows a hybrid work model. You will work on big data systems automation and cloud management tooling within a small team environment.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and update big data systems automation and cloud management tools.
- Assist with the upkeep of distributed computing systems and configuration management.
- Write scripts in Python and Bash for automation tasks.
- Develop new product features and provide application support.
- Troubleshoot customer-reported issues.
- Engage in quality assurance testing.
What you'll need#
- U.S. Citizenship is required. You must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 60% of required credits completed.
- Experience with Python development and Bash scripting.
- Familiarity with Git, AWS or other cloud platforms, and Kubernetes or containerization technologies.
- Comfort working on a Linux command line.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize tickets, and solve problems.
- A current Secret level clearance, prior technical internship experience, or a Security+ certification are all considered pluses.

- Schedule: Hybrid, with an expectation of spending an average of 2 days per week in the office.
