About the role#
We are looking for a Systems Engineering Intern to join our team for a hands-on experience in medical device development. You will work alongside experienced engineers to support active programs, contributing to technical content and quality deliverables. This role is designed for students who want to apply classroom knowledge to real business challenges in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Support system integration, verification, and validation activities for medical device products.
- Work cross-functionally to prototype concepts, execute tests, analyze data, and troubleshoot issues.
- Build test setups and explore new methods to validate systems.
- Assist with testing by working with firmware and product designers.
- Write basic test execution scripts.
- Document test results and prepare reports.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least your freshman year.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection for electro-mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in various rapid prototyping methods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with risk management tools such as FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, or hazards risk analysis.

- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Full-time, minimum of 10 weeks.
- Status: Paid internship.
