About the role#
Baisch Engineering Inc. is hiring a BIM Coordination Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Appleton, Wisconsin. You will work directly with our BIM Coordinators, designers, and engineers to support 3D model coordination for industrial engineering projects.
What you'll do#
- Perform clash detection and model reviews using Navisworks to find conflicts between architectural, structural, equipment, electrical, and process systems.
- Develop and coordinate models using Revit, Plant3D, Navisworks, and other design tools.
- Maintain and update BIM Execution Plans and project documentation.
- Work with multi-discipline models and point clouds to understand how teams coordinate complex industrial facilities.
- Learn and implement BIM protocols.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a degree or technical diploma in Architectural Technology, Mechanical Design, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to visualize how different systems fit together and a strong attention to detail.
- Interest in 3D models, technology, and technical problem-solving.
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or Navisworks is preferred.
- Ability to interpret construction or technical drawings is preferred.
- Completed coursework in architecture, construction, engineering, or building systems is preferred.
