About the role#
Hexcel is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Engineering Intern for our Kent, Washington facility. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position requiring a minimum commitment of 6 months. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or hold equivalent legal status.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain a database for the maintenance program.
- Schedule and track preventative maintenance activities.
- Assist in creating and updating work instructions.
- Conduct equipment research, including locating serial numbers and performing item research.
- Participate in plant mapping, layout planning, and equipment evaluations.
- Track work orders and provide progress updates.
- Provide general support to the maintenance and facilities staff.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a related degree program such as Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration, or Operations Management.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
- Good organizational skills for managing work orders and maintenance schedules.
- Attention to detail for tasks like documenting equipment serial numbers.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and possession of a valid driver's license.

- Compensation: $21 to $24 per hour.
