About the role#
As an Echocardiography Intern, you will perform cardiac imaging procedures under the supervision of a certified Echocardiography Technologist. This role requires sound judgment and initiative while you gain hands-on experience in a clinical environment.
What you'll do#
- Perform transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography.
- Operate echocardiographic imaging equipment safely and correctly.
- Work alongside technologists, physicians, and patients to provide diagnostic care.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Enrollment in the final semester of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, with a focus on cardiac ultrasound.
- Technical knowledge and scanning experience in diagnostic cardiac imaging.
- Ability to accept feedback and instruction professionally.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to changes in a patient care setting.
- Experience with computer applications is preferred.
- Ability to complete required clearances within 90 days of starting the role.
