About the role#
Heritage Valley Health System is seeking a Dietary Associate for their Nutrition Services department. This is an on-site, paid, full-time position with a rolling term. The schedule is casual and includes varying day and night shifts, as well as weekends and holidays.
What you'll do#
You will support the Nutrition Services team by performing a variety of tasks. Responsibilities include assembling patient meals, working at all tray line stations, and working in the dish room. You will also be responsible for transporting patient carts and performing pot washing duties. You will work collaboratively with production and patient services staff.
What you'll need#
Candidates must be at least 16 years old and currently enrolled in high school. You must be able to read, write, and understand both written and verbal instructions. Basic computer skills and customer service skills are required. If applicable, you must successfully complete Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of starting. While not required, previous food service experience or a high school diploma or GED are considered a plus. This role is open to students majoring in Nutrition, Civil Engineering, Biology, or Health Administration.
