About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Culver City, California. You will work on the Joico brand within the Consumer Brands business unit. The role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring the ability to commute to the office.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the New Product Development lifecycle from initial concept through to execution.
- Shadow project leaders on specific Joico brand initiatives to support project management.
- Conduct competitive assessments for hair care and styling categories to identify market opportunities.
- Research consumer trends and sentiment regarding product and ingredient innovations.
- Attend weekly core team meetings and cross-functional sessions to understand the product development process.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for product naming, fragrance, benefits, and claims.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a first-year MBA student or a student graduating in 2028.
- Academic emphasis in Marketing or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong writing and organizational skills for developing product concepts.
- Ability to gather and analyze large data sets to create fact-based recommendations.
- Genuine interest in the beauty industry.
- A willingness to learn, adapt, and grow.
