About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience within the metal packaging industry. You will work in a laboratory setting to support product development and innovation. This is a full-time, paid position based in Madison Heights, Michigan, running from January 11, 2027, through August 13, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Create product formulations in the laboratory.
- Test formulations to evaluate their performance and quality.
- Assist in developing and validating new test methods.
- Contribute to new product development projects.
- Learn about industry standards and innovation opportunities.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support formulation and testing tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate status as a Junior or Senior.
- A degree path in Chemistry.
- Ability to research and develop solutions independently in a lab.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for scientific ideas.
- Experience presenting data and findings to stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a focus on hands-on experimentation.

- Compensation: $22-$27 per hour.
- Term: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
