About the role#
Heartland ABA is hiring for a paid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) internship. This role is a starting point for those interested in psychology, education, or mental health care. You will receive paid training to become a certified RBT. We ask for a minimum commitment of six months.
What you'll do#
- Provide one-on-one ABA services to clients in their homes or community settings.
- Implement skill building and care plans directly with children.
- Use evidence-based interventions to support independence and positive behavior.
- Record session data using electronic devices.
- Work with families and other providers to improve treatment outcomes.
- Create a positive learning environment for every client.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to learn and complete the 40-hour RBT course.
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to stay calm in difficult situations.
- A reliable method of transportation.
- An interest in supporting children with Autism.
