This paid internship provides students with hands-on experience in the daily technical operations of a television station. Working within the Engineering and Production department at WMUR-TV, interns gain exposure to broadcast systems and production workflows under the guidance of permanent technical staff.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the operation of engineering and production equipment under direct supervision.
- Rotate through various departments, including production, air operations, engineering, and IT.
- Participate in scheduled training sessions to build hands-on technical skills.
- Develop a general understanding of floor directing, camera operation, editing, and master control.
- Coordinate your weekly schedule with internship coordinators based on availability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college program related to Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Communications.
- An understanding of basic technical operations within a television environment.
- Ability to operate equipment safely while under supervision.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.

- Location: Manchester, New Hampshire.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Commitment: Up to 24 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
