About the role#
The WMUR Engineering and Production internship offers students practical experience within a television station environment. You will work directly with permanent technical staff to learn daily operations across production, air operations, and engineering. This is a paid, on-site program designed to provide hands-on training with broadcast equipment under close supervision.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the operation of engineering and production equipment.
- Rotate through various departments including production, master control, engineering, and IT.
- Participate in scheduled training sessions to develop technical skills.
- Return to specific areas of interest for additional training after initial rotations.
- Coordinate your schedule and availability with internship coordinators.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college program related to engineering or production.
- Academic focus in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Communications.
- Understanding of basic technical operations within a television environment.
- Ability to operate equipment under supervision.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.

- Schedule: Up to 24 hours per week, with specific days determined by mutual availability.
