WMUR Engineering and Production Intern

About the role#

This paid internship provides students with hands-on experience in the daily technical operations of a television station. Working within the Engineering and Production department at WMUR-TV, interns gain exposure to broadcast systems and production workflows under the guidance of permanent technical staff.

What you'll do#

• Assist in the operation of engineering and production equipment under direct supervision.
• Rotate through various departments, including production, air operations, engineering, and IT.
• Participate in scheduled training sessions to build hands-on technical skills.
• Develop a general understanding of floor directing, camera operation, editing, and master control.
• Coordinate your weekly schedule with internship coordinators based on availability.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a college program related to Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or Communications.
• An understanding of basic technical operations within a television environment.
• Ability to operate equipment safely while under supervision.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.

• Location: Manchester, New Hampshire.
• Term: Summer 2026.
• Commitment: Up to 24 hours per week.
• Modality: On-site.
