The WMUR Engineering and Production internship provides students with hands-on experience in the daily technical operations of a television station. This paid program focuses on training interns in broadcast systems and production workflows under the direct supervision of experienced technical staff. After rotating through core departments, interns may focus on specific areas of interest to gain further expertise.
What you'll do#
- Operate broadcast equipment under the observation of permanent technical staff.
- Train in production roles including floor directing, wireless camera operation, prompter operation, editing, and directing.
- Gain experience in air operations and master control.
- Assist with the installation, repair, and support of broadcast systems and IT infrastructure.
- Rotate through various technical departments before focusing on specific areas of interest.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college program related to Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering, or Media Studies.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in television production and engineering.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to commit to up to 24 hours per week.

- Location: Manchester, New Hampshire.
- Term: Summer 2026.
