Creative Services Intern

About the role#

WMUR, the ABC affiliate in Manchester, NH, is offering a summer internship within the Creative Services department. This team is responsible for the branding and promotional development of the station. This is a full-time, paid position designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of how a television Creative Services department operates.

What you'll do#

• Draft topical copy for the station, the nightly newsmagazine show Chronicle, and other special news segments.
• Gain production experience by assisting on promotional and commercial shoots, both in-house and on location.
• Observe newscasts and editing sessions to understand production workflows.
• Learn the fundamentals of writing and producing effective news topical promotion.
• Explore broadcast and digital marketing strategies.
• Assist in the production of public service announcements (PSAs) to support community engagement.
• Apply your writing and communication skills in a professional media environment.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree program related to Communications, Media Studies, or Graphic Design.
• An interest in learning the responsibilities of a television Creative Services department.
• A desire to develop skills in broadcast and digital marketing.
