Creative Services Intern

About the role#

WMUR, the ABC affiliate in Manchester, is seeking a Creative Services Intern for the summer of 2026. This department manages the branding and promotional development of the station. Interns will gain a comprehensive understanding of television creative operations and the fundamentals of writing and producing effective topical promotions.

What you'll do#

• Draft topical copy for the station, the nightly newsmagazine show Chronicle, and other special news segments.
• Observe newscasts and editing sessions to understand production workflows.
• Participate in promotional and commercial shoots, both in-house and on location.
• Support the production of public service announcements to learn about the station's community commitment.
• Apply writing and communication skills within a professional broadcast environment.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree program related to Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, or Graphic Design.
• A desire to explore broadcast and digital marketing strategies.
• Strong interest in learning the responsibilities of a Creative Services department.
