About the role#
This position is based in a university student health clinic in Allendale, Michigan. You will provide primary and preventive care to a diverse student population, focusing on relationship-based healthcare and student well-being. This full-time, on-site role operates on a weekday schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
What you'll do#
- Provide primary care services, including wellness exams, annual physicals, and chronic disease management.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute illnesses, injuries, and common chronic conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient history, symptoms, and diagnostic results.
- Educate patients on prevention, self-management, and treatment strategies for their specific health needs.
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with clinical appropriateness and safety standards.
- Collaborate with specialists and behavioral health providers to support the management of complex or high-risk patient cases.
What you'll need#
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Active, unrestricted Michigan RN license.
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner certification.
- Active Michigan NP Specialty Certification.
- BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) obtained within 90 days of hire.
