This position is based in a university student health clinic in Allendale, Michigan. The role focuses on providing primary and preventive care to a diverse student population, emphasizing relationship-based healthcare and student well-being. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with a weekday schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
What you'll do#
- Provide primary care services, including wellness exams, physicals, preventative screenings, and chronic disease management.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute illnesses, injuries, infections, and common chronic conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient history, symptoms, and diagnostic results.
- Educate patients on prevention, self-management, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with clinical appropriateness and safety standards.
- Collaborate with specialists, behavioral health providers, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient management and complex care coordination.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic testing such as labs and point-of-care testing.
- Counsel patients on medications, lifestyle interventions, and health goals.
What you'll need#
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Active, unrestricted Michigan RN license.
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner certification.
- Active Michigan NP Specialty Certification.
- BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) required within 90 days of hire.
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Allendale, Michigan.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2026 (Starting July 6, 2026).
- Compensation: $50–$58/hour.
