About the role#
Health System Services is looking for a Clinical Operations & Logistics Intern to support our team during a warehouse transition. This three-month internship provides exposure to the operational flow of a durable medical equipment environment. You will work across both office and warehouse settings to ensure equipment, records, and supplies are managed accurately.
What you'll do#
- Support Clinical Coordinators with patient, provider, and internal communications.
- Assist with scheduling, follow-up outreach, documentation collection, and data entry.
- Organize, scan, and maintain clinical, order, and operational documentation.
- Help track open orders, deliveries, and missing documentation.
- Prepare, pack, label, and ship equipment and supplies.
- Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, reconciliation, and location updates.
- Support warehouse relocation by sorting, staging, and organizing inventory.
- Report inventory discrepancies, shipping concerns, or safety issues to a supervisor.
- Follow all safety, privacy, and organizational policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, supply chain management, business, operations, or logistics.
- Prior experience in customer service, healthcare, inventory, warehouse, shipping, or administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle protected health information.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

- Location: Wheatfield, New York.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $18.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Part-time, approximately three months.
