About the role#
Haworth is seeking a Commodity Planning Intern for a 12-week program during the summer of 2027. You will work on-site at our corporate headquarters in Holland, Michigan. This is a paid, full-time position that offers exposure to real business projects and manufacturing operations. You will join a cohort of interns and participate in workshops, networking events, and industry experiences.
What you'll do#
- Manage supplier minimum order quantities.
- Track and manage cost savings.
- Work on inventory dollar value savings.
- Drive process improvements related to inventory management.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor degree program for Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, or Business.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Unrestricted right to work in the United States.
- Ability to work on-site in Holland, MI from May 2027 to August 2027.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Comfort working with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with personal computers and spreadsheet applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A desire to research and solve problems.
Preferred qualifications include a GPA of 2.95 or higher, previous work or extra-curricular experience, and prior experience with Haworth. Familiarity with MS Office (specifically Excel), SAP, and PowerBI is also preferred.
