About the role#
Hawaiian Electric offers a project-based summer internship for students interested in safety and utility operations. You will work with a dedicated mentor to gain professional experience and technical skills. This position involves research, project execution, and participation in cross-functional activities. At the end of the term, you will present your findings to the management team.
What you'll do#
- Research and execute an objective-based project with your mentor.
- Participate in cross-functional activities to learn about the company.
- Present your project achievements and lessons learned to management.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current student at a post-secondary school in good academic standing.
- You must be enrolled in school for Fall 2027.
- You must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Your degree program should be in Health, Safety, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- You must provide an official digital copy of your transcript.
Location & details#
- Location: Honolulu, Hawaii.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
- Compensation: Starting at $21.00 per hour.
- This is a full-time, on-site, paid position.
