About the role#
This summer internship provides a project-based experience within the Planning & Technology department. You will work with a dedicated mentor to research and complete an objective-based project related to wildfire strategy. You will also participate in cross-functional activities to learn about the company, including professional development workshops and career pathway panels. At the end of the summer, you will present your findings and lessons learned to the management team.
What you'll do#
- Research and execute an objective-based project.
- Evaluate historical outage and ignition data.
- Analyze wildfire risk modeling results to suggest data or program improvements.
- Participate in cross-functional team activities.
- Present your project deliverables to management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an active student at a post-secondary school.
- Good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Enrollment for the Fall 2027 semester.
- A degree focus in Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- An expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- An official digital copy of your academic transcript.

- Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
