About the role#
This summer internship offers students the chance to gain professional experience through project-based work. You will work with a dedicated mentor to research and execute an objective-based project within the Planning and Technology department. At the end of the program, you will present your project deliverables and lessons learned to management. You will also participate in cross-functional activities to learn about the company.
What you'll do#
- Research and execute an objective-based project.
- Develop potential AI tools for power system protection work.
- Participate in cross-functional activities.
- Present achievements to the management team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary school with good academic standing.
- Must be attending school in Fall 2027.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Major in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with Python programming and AI tools is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Honolulu, Hawaii.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
- Compensation: Starting at $23.00 per hour.
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.
