About the role#
This internship provides students with the opportunity to gain professional experience through project-based work. You will be paired with a dedicated mentor to research and execute an objective-based project. Throughout the summer, you will participate in cross-functional activities and attend professional development events. At the end of the program, you will present your achievements and lessons learned to management.
What you'll do#
- Support program communications, reporting, and business analytics initiatives.
- Develop promotional videos, newsletters, dashboards, and data-driven reports.
- Create engaging communication materials.
- Build and maintain dashboards to monitor key performance indicators.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and insights.
- Perform budget analysis to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, present findings, and develop reporting tools.
What you'll need#
- Current, active student at a post-secondary school (college or community college) in good academic standing.
- Must be attending school in Fall 2027 with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Studying in fields such as Fire Science, Business, Marketing, Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Emergency Management, or related areas.
- Preferred coursework includes fire behavior and ecology, wildfire prevention and mitigation, electrical power systems, utility operations, forensic investigation, risk management, hazard mitigation, or meteorology.

- Location: Honolulu, Hawaii.

- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: Starts at $21.00 per hour.
