About the role#
Hartford Athletic is hiring a Women's Team Operations Intern for the Spring 2027 season. This paid internship offers hands-on experience in the daily business and field operations of a pre-professional women's soccer team. You will support the front office, coaching staff, and matchday execution from mid-April through June 30, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Manage daily administrative tasks, including file organization, scheduling, and processing onboarding paperwork for players and staff.
- Support training sessions by setting up field equipment, managing water and ice, and assisting coaching staff with logistics.
- Coordinate team travel for away matches and handle hospitality for visiting teams and officials.
- Oversee player and staff apparel, including sizing, ordering, inventory tracking, and distribution.
- Execute home matchday operations such as signage setup, guest check-in, fan entry, and post-match breakdown.
- Assist with community engagement events, youth clinics, and content capture for the marketing team.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Communications, Kinesiology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain discretion with confidential information.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand for long periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and a clear interest in women's sports.
- Reliable transportation to the stadium, training sites, and event locations.
Location & details#
- Location: Windsor, Connecticut.
- Term: Mid-April through June 30, 2027.
- Schedule: Five days per week, plus all home game days, including evenings and weekends.
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
