About the role#
Hartford Athletic is looking for an Event & Operations Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is an on-site, unpaid internship based in Hartford, Connecticut. You will support the team during match days and various events at Trinity Health Stadium.
What you'll do#
- Manage equipment placement for the playing field and technical area.
- Handle set-up and breakdown for sponsor signage and parking lots.
- Support pre-match and halftime ceremonies to keep the game on schedule.
- Coordinate with security, runners, and the press box.
- Assist game officials with their needs before, during, and after matches.
- Notify teams and referees when it is time for ceremonies and match restarts.
- Help prepare for and attend Watch Parties and Supporter events.
- Assist with outreach efforts to bring non-soccer events to the stadium.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program.
- Eligibility for college credit or a willingness to volunteer.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
- Interest in sports.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Hartford, CT.
- You must be available for all home match days, including nights and weekends.
- Expect over 90% availability for home matches and outside events.
- Work may take place in inclement weather conditions.
