About the role#
Hartford Athletic is seeking an Analyst / Assistant Coach Intern to support the Hartford Athletic II coaching staff. You will work directly with the coaching staff and technical leadership to contribute to the day-to-day technical program. This role offers exposure to the club player-development pathway and is suited for students, recent graduates, or young coaches in fields like coaching, performance analysis, or sport management.
What you'll do#
- Film matches and training sessions.
- Code and analyze matches to identify performance trends.
- Produce post-match analysis and organize video clips for the coaching staff.
- Maintain a library of match and training footage.
- Track team and individual performance indicators.
- Scout opponents by identifying strengths, weaknesses, and tendencies.
- Prepare reports and video clips to support match preparation.
- Create and maintain individual player video libraries to support reviews.
- Assist with planning and delivering training sessions, including setup and organization.
- Coach individuals and small groups while providing technical and tactical feedback.
- Support match-day preparation and warm-ups.
- Contribute to staff discussions and support communication across the player pathway.
What you'll need#
- Strong interest in soccer coaching or performance analysis.
- Good understanding of the technical and tactical aspects of the game.
- Comfort working with video and technology.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to learn and receive feedback from experienced staff.
- Initiative, a strong work ethic, and professional reliability.
- Comfort communicating with players and coaches.
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, or status as a recent graduate or young coach.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

- Availability: Must be available for evening and weekend training sessions and matches.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to training and match locations is required.
- Status: This is an unpaid, full-time internship.
