About the role#
The 2027 M&A Summer Associate program is a full-time, on-site experience based in Richmond, Virginia. This role offers a realistic simulation of the full-time associate position, allowing you to learn the deal process through live transaction work. You will participate in a robust training program at the firm's headquarters designed to provide foundational knowledge of M&A and build professional relationships.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the full lifecycle of multiple client engagements.
- Drive work forward in partnership with analysts.
- Engage directly with clients and senior bankers.
- Lead multiple workstreams while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Translate data and analysis into actionable insights to support deal strategy.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Strong learning agility and a proactive approach to professional development.
- Proficiency in Excel (including formulas, data validation, and tables) and PowerPoint.
- A working understanding of accounting and finance concepts, specifically the connection between income statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability in problem solving and data analysis.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
