About the role#
The 2027 M&A Summer Associate program is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Richmond, Virginia. This internship is designed to provide a realistic experience that simulates the role of a full-time associate. You will learn the deal process through live transaction work and participate in a robust training program at the firm's headquarters to build foundational knowledge of M&A and establish professional relationships.
What you'll do#
- Drive work forward in partnership with analysts.
- Contribute to the full lifecycle of multiple client engagements.
- Engage directly with clients and senior bankers.
- Learn the deal process through hands-on transaction work.
- Participate in a structured, comprehensive training program.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Strong learning agility and a proactive approach to professional development.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to produce accurate, client-ready work.
- A working understanding of accounting and finance concepts, including the connection between income statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving and data analysis capabilities.
