About the role#
Harris Williams is hiring 2027 M&A Summer Associates for our Boston team. This program provides a realistic experience that simulates the role of a full-time associate. You will learn the deal process through live transaction work alongside seasoned banking professionals. Our firm does not provide sponsorship for employment visas for this position.
What you'll do#
- Drive work forward in partnership with analysts.
- Learn the deal process through live transaction work.
- Participate in a rigorous training program at our Richmond headquarters.
- Build trusted relationships across deal teams.

What you'll need#
- Academic background in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Learning agility and a proactive approach to new information.
- Advanced Excel skills including formulas, data validation, and tables.
- Working understanding of how income statements and balance sheets connect.
- Problem solving and data analysis skills.
- AI literacy with the ability to direct tools while maintaining quality and judgment.
