About the role#
Harris Williams is seeking 2027 M&A Summer Associates for our Boston office. This program provides a realistic experience that simulates the role of a full-time associate. You will participate in a rigorous training program at our headquarters to build foundational knowledge of M&A and establish relationships across the firm. This role is a full-time, on-site position. Please note that Harris Williams does not provide sponsorship for employment visas for this position.
What you'll do#
- Learn the deal process through live transaction work alongside seasoned banking professionals.
- Drive work forward in partnership with analysts to ensure successful client engagements.
- Build trusted relationships across deal teams and contribute to a collaborative culture.
- Deliver accurate, high-quality work products that reflect sound deal judgment and attention to detail.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with formulas, data validation, tables, and conditional formatting.
- A working understanding of how income statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets connect.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in data analysis.
- Learning agility and a proactive approach to incorporating feedback.
- AI literacy, with the ability to use AI tools to improve output while maintaining accuracy and judgment.
