About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern for our outpatient clinic in Lakeland. This position is a full-time, paid contract role. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health services to adults, adolescents, and children aged five and older. The role offers the flexibility to work both on-site and remotely.
What you'll do#
- Perform psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling.
- Work alongside psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services in line with company policies.
- Keep up with current advancements in the field of psychotherapy.
What you'll need#
- A Master degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or current progress toward obtaining one.
- Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Lakeland, Florida.
- Modality: Hybrid, with both on-site and remote options available.
- Schedule: As an independent contractor, you determine your own working hours. Offices are open for in-person and telehealth visits Monday through Thursday, with additional telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday.
