About the role#
Harmonic is seeking a Cybersecurity Governance Analyst & Enablement Intern to join the Information Security team. This is a full-time, 3-month internship with the option to extend for an additional 3 months. This role focuses on enterprise security governance practices and supports the foundation-building work for an eventual ISO 27001 certification.
What you'll do#
- Support the foundation-building work for an eventual ISO 27001 certification.
- Perform risk assessments and document risk treatments and follow-up actions.
- Generate governance-related dashboards for executive team leaders.
- Assist with security policy formulation and document management.
- Gather security control evidence and associated records.
- Support the management and setup of the governance SaaS platform.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, IT, or a related field.
- Familiarity with basic security or risk-management concepts through coursework or projects.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, specifically regarding documentation and evidence tracking.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed team.
- Good communication skills, with comfort presenting to groups of stakeholders and following up on requests.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft 365 suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Location & details#
- Location: Remote (U.S.-based).
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $18 to $20 per hour, depending on market, location, and individual qualifications.
