About the role#
This is a 10-week internship program at Harbor Group Management Company. You will work on-site in Los Angeles, California. The role is full-time and paid. You will gain experience by working with property management teams, including the Property Manager and leasing staff, while contributing to a capstone project.
What you'll do#
- Assist in leasing apartments and maintaining availability lists.
- Respond to telephone inquiries and qualify prospective residents.
- Show apartments and prepare move-in paperwork.
- Input daily traffic numbers and enter data into Yardi.
- Follow up with prospects and conduct move-in inspections with new residents.
- Manage lease renewals, track expirations, and prepare renewal paperwork.
- Interview residents regarding move-out reasons.
- Collect, process, and report fees and deposits.
- Plan resident functions and walk the property to monitor curb appeal.
- Record and act on resident service requests.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and Tax Compliance regulations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year accredited program for Property Management, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field.
- Status as a rising Junior or Senior.
- At least 1 year of work experience in customer service.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
