About the role#
Harbor Group Management Company is offering a 10-week internship for students interested in real estate. This role provides hands-on experience across multiple property management functions, including leasing, maintenance coordination, and resident services. You will work directly with property managers and staff while contributing to the 2027 Capstone Project.
What you'll do#
- Assist with leasing apartments, qualifying prospects, and showing units to potential residents.
- Manage administrative tasks such as preparing move-in paperwork, entering data into Yardi, and tracking lease renewals.
- Process application fees, security deposits, and rent payments.
- Maintain property curb appeal and inspect apartments with new residents.
- Respond to telephone inquiries and resident service requests professionally.
- Plan and prepare resident functions.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and Tax Compliance regulations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year accredited program for Property Management, Real Estate, Marketing, or a similar field.
- Status as a rising Junior or Senior.
- At least 1 year of work experience in customer service.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems.
