About the role#
H2M architects + engineers is hiring a Mechanical Engineering student intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside experienced professionals in our Mechanical and Plumbing / Fire Protection Engineering departments. This position is based in our Melville office and requires on-site attendance.
What you'll do#
- Gather and compile project data.
- Assist project managers with construction drawings and specifications.
- Use AutoCAD and Revit for computer drafting.
- Participate in professional development workshops.
- Complete a final presentation to share your goals and learning results.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program for Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Standing as a sophomore or higher at an accredited institution.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
- Eagerness to learn and the ability to work well both individually and as part of a team.

- Compensation: $19.25 to $27.00 per hour.
