About the role#
H2M architects + engineers is hiring a student intern for our Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineering department. You will work alongside experienced professionals on active projects and proposals. This is a paid, on-site internship for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Perform administrative tasks like gathering and compiling project data.
- Assist project managers with the creation of construction drawings and specifications.
- Use AutoCAD and Revit for computer drafting.
- Conduct site visits and attend client meetings.
- Participate in professional development workshops.
- Complete a final presentation at the end of the program to detail your learning and project achievements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program for Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Standing as a sophomore or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
- A desire to learn and the ability to work well both independently and in a team.

- The role is located in Melville, New York.
- This is an on-site position.
- The pay range is $19.25 to $27.00 per hour.
