About the role#
H2M architects + engineers is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work with the Civil Engineering Division to support experienced professionals on current projects and proposals. This role is paid and requires on-site attendance in Melville, New York.
What you'll do#
- Gather and compile project data.
- Assist project managers with the preparation of construction drawings and specifications.
- Perform computer drafting tasks using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Conduct site visits and attend client meetings.
- Participate in professional development workshops.
- Deliver a final presentation detailing your project results and achievements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore or higher in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.
- Pursuing a degree in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
- A strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
- The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
